The Camp
We will be running 9 pool sessions, all focussed on technique work, and none of it will be easy! Bring fins, kickboards and pull buoys if you have them, you will not need any other equipment. For those of you who don't have fins, they are not essential, but they are without any question, the single best investment you can make in the improvement of your swimming.
We will also host discussions over coffee, which will be on all aspects of training and racing, nutrition, the psychological aspects of swimming and any other topics the group want to address. We expect all levels of triathletes, and the goal is to share experiences and ideas around the group.
We will not be organising bike and running sessions, but you are encouraged to make the most of the fabulous Mallorcan terrain and get out on the bikes and roads whenever you like. There is a running track about 3km from the Beach Club, or the area around the hotel is excellent for getting in some great running training.
The Beach Club
The Beach Club at Font de sa Cala is on the north east tip of the island, at Cala Ratjada, about 45 minutes from Palma. For many people, this is the most beautiful corner of the island, protected by natural parkland. Pictures of the beach club can be seen here
At the beach club, you will find, tennis courts, basketball, handall, volleyball, pelota, squash, french bowls, mini-golf, archery, table tennis, fitness room, sauna, massage, all of which should help you to relax!
As well as the facilities at the Beach Club, for those that have any energy left, there is an 18 hole golf course close by, and volleyball, sailing, water-skiing and diving at the beach.
Accommodation will be half board, in doubles or twins. Many of the rooms are large and can easily accommodate three or four people. There will be a daily supplement for single room occupancy. There are cafes and restaurants close by, and we will organise a group trip to a typical Mallorquin restaurant one night.
Bike Hire
Many of you will bring you own bikes, but if not, there is a bike hire shop on site with good quality road bikes at reasonable prices.
